Clip Downloader can help you download any type of contents from the web. It can also convert movie files to other formats. The main screen of its interface is mainly composed of a web browser. In addition, it has some side panels that allow you to monitor running download tasks and access the downloaded files. Although its developers claim that it is easy to use, it did not seem so simple to me, mostly because of the lack of visual clues related to the supported functions.

The application can be used as a player as it allows you to open and watch videos without leaving the program. Such popular video formats as FLV, AVI, MOV, MPEG and QT are supported. Unfortunately, it does not let you create playlists.

As stated above, this downloader supports any type of data, and you can also configure it to download given file types automatically. However, one of its main features is that it supports downloading online video. It also allows pausing and resuming download tasks, but most importantly, it can download using various simultaneous threads (up to 250).

This downloader comes with a built-in video converter. It supports batch conversion of the same group of formats mentioned above. It is very easy to use: just add the files to convert and choose a target format. Unfortunately, it does not allow you to customize the output profiles.

I regret to say that I cannot recommend Clip Downloader. Although it supports various features, it generated several errors while I was using it. Moreover, the trial version constantly showed nag screens, which made trying the program rather uncomfortable.
